Pollinator Gardens

Stewarding God's creation is at the heart of who we are. At New Haven Congregational Church, we believe we are at our best when we listen closely to how God is still speaking through the natural world and live in reciprocity with God’s Creation.

Our New Haven Community Pollinator Gardens are a place of beauty, learning, and service. As an official Vermont Master Gardener project site, we partner with Master Gardeners-in-training who help care for the gardens while sharing their knowledge with our community. Together, we host educational workshops on gardening, nutrition, and environmental stewardship, using the gardens themselves as our classroom. Recent offerings have included Natural Ways to Control Mosquitoes and Growing Microgreens.

We are also proud members of Pollinator Pathway, a growing movement to create pesticide-free corridors of native plants that provide food and habitat for bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators. Through this work, we are helping to care for the local ecosystem while creating a welcoming green space where neighbors can connect with the land.

In tending these gardens, we seek to nurture not only the land, but also the relationships that bind us to God, one another, and all living things.
