Sunday Worship

You are warmly invited to join us for worship at New Haven Congregational Church. We are a small, rural church where neighbors gather to worship God, care for one another, and serve our community.

Our Sunday service is casual. We bring coffee. We wear regular clothes (though you are welcome to dress up if you’d like). You may even see a friendly dog or two in the pews.

We begin with announcements about the work we’re doing in the community and ways to get involved, then move into music, prayer, Scripture readings, and a message that connects faith with everyday life. We welcome questions, reflections, and the chance to grow together in faith.

We have a collection plate at the entrance if you would like to support our work, but we never pass the plate during worship. Giving is part of the life we share together, not a moment of expectation during the service.

On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Communion together as a reminder of our connection to God and one another. All are welcome at this table—it is God’s table, not ours.

Whether you have been part of a church for years, are finding your way back, or are simply curious, you are welcome here. Come as you are. There is no dress code and no expectation that you know what to do. Just come, settle in, and be part of the community.

Children are welcome in worship, and we love the energy and wonder they bring. We offer an all-ages learning time during the school year, though children are always welcome to stay in worship. About once a month, we gather for an intergenerational service with an activity in place of a sermon.

New Haven Congregational Church is an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ. We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, identities, and family structures. We believe everyone is a beloved child of God.

We gather each Sunday at 10 am at 91 Town Hill Road, New Haven, in the church next to the Green. We would love to meet you.
