Ladies Union

For well over a century, churches have relied on dedicated groups of women who keep things running and support the whole community. At New Haven Congregational Church, that tradition continues through our Ladies Union.

The Ladies Union is open to any female-identifying person in the community, and about half of its members are not part of our congregation.

The group meets once a month to share food, enjoy one another's company, and plan ways to serve the church and the wider community. Annual dues help support local missions and other ministries throughout the year.

The work of the Ladies Union is practical and hands-on. Members organize free community dinners, fundraising events, and the congregation's Christmas dinner, support the church's involvement in town festivals, and step in wherever extra hands are needed.. They also respond with meals, visits, and support during times of illness, home recovery, or loss. Holiday baskets are delivered to shut-ins, and assistance is offered to local families whenever possible.

The Ladies Union also helps make our worship space beautiful throughout the year. Members decorate the sanctuary with Christmas greens, Easter flowers, candles, fresh flowers from local gardens, and other seasonal touches that reflect the rhythms of the church year.

The Ladies Union is a community of women who care deeply for one another, for their neighbors, and for the life of this church. New members are always welcome, whether you're looking for a way to serve, make new friends, or simply become part of a group that enjoys working together.
